Happy “Cyber Monday”!

The Thanksgiving festivities are over, and it’s officially the Christmas shopping season.  Every year the crowds at the malls get more intimidating, and this year, with everyone looking for deals, it will be no different.  So why not try some online shopping this year instead? And what better day to discuss this option than today, “Cyber Monday”, dubbed by retailers in recent years, as many people go back to work after the Thanksgiving holiday and do much of their Christmas shopping online from their desk.

Many retailers now even extend their Black Friday sales through today or offer special online savings for Cyber Monday shoppers so you can still save money – without leaving home.

Most retailers have online stores,  so you can shop at those you are familiar with such as Target, Macy’s, Old Navy, WalMart, Sears, and more. But if you are looking for something a little different and unique, why not try something new?

www.etsy.com is a website that offers only handmade, unique items. Sellers from around the world setup an online “shop” to sell their creations. You can search through them all and get holiday gifts delivered right to your home.  You’ll find something special for everyone on your list.

An example shop that offers custom holiday photo postcards and photo frames that make great gifts is: ELD shop.  Or take a look through all of the shops from thousands of sellers at www.etsy.com

No matter where you do your online shopping, be sure that it’s a secure site and remember to take a good look at your credit card statement next month to ensure that the charges are correct. Now you can relax and join in the Cyber Monday festivities – and get your Christmas shopping done!
