“After a lengthy break I’m going to start posting again.”  Famous last words!   I think we wear too many hats!

I cant decide- if I am an Alpha Daughter, a Prime Time Women, perhaps a Sandwich Generation Daughter, or  now I can be a ” Grisly Mom”  who will take on ANYONE who messes with my kids , grand kidsor Grandma!   Too many options!

These hot summer days , I’m  worried about my over 60+year old friends and  my aging parents  drinking enough water to keep them from  getting dehydrated !  I know when they don’t get enough water they slow down cognitively. And they fall more!

The elderly are  more prone to falls and breaks during hot weather and dehydration is a big  factor.  Just heard that there are 60,000 deaths a year related to falls.

Do you know older folks who won’t turn on the air conditioning or fire up a big fan because it cost too much?? Uncle Charlie was that way and it wasn’t because of money….. that just the way some 92 year olds are programed

Maybe I do more to refer those folks  to the  local utility company or organize a church group to lend a helping hand to  the elderly.  Distant care giving  is hard –   especially if you are a daughter or Grisly Mom, A Prime Time Women, an Alpha Mom , A Grand daughter or all of the above!
